Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands

Dean and Director at Breda University

I am an Australian who has recently returned after thirteen (very enjoyable) years living and working as a Dean and Director at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. My role is now an ambassador for the university for Australia and South East Asia.

In the past, I have come across Australian students with Dutch family at our university, who have studied there, either on exchange with Australian universities, or full time degrees, to meet or re-meet relatives, experience living in the Netherlands, while also furthering their education internationally. I had a particular, personal connection with these students as we could share stories and experiences in Australia and the Netherlands.

This led me to wondering if it might be interesting to you to share my experiences, particularly in Dutch education and student life, to your member parents and/or their children. I am happy to do this whether in a newsletter, or to join an event or meeting. Or simply to offer my contact details if any members are curious and would like information and support in finding out more about studying in the Netherlands. Quite often I know parents and students would also like to be put into contact with other ex-students from Australia who have had the experience.

Please let me know if this is of interest. It helps for families (and all) with the borders looking like opening up again soon!

Best regards,
Met vriendelijke groet,
